Shadowspell Academy = #HungWarts Sounds like a rare (and disgusting) disease but it’s really a Hollywood mashup of all things Harry Potter and Hunger Games. So how does The Culling Trials Book 1 stand up against two killer blockbusters? I expect to see Shannon Mayer and K. F. Breene’s love child boldly (and with great bodily harm to the actors’ stunt doubles) up in Cinemark neon lights (popcorn with extra butter please)! And yes, I am completely serious. And no, I won’t dislike you if you don’t try this series but “cash me outside” and we will discuss (like civilized adults) your heinous folly.

If you are one of those readers who need a longer warm up to action, a little handholding before the storm, I can tell you this, Mayer and Breene are fresh out of (      )s. Action and suspense will rain upon you in an unmerciful deluge – hang on! Wild and her motley crew of misfits is a cure-all for whatever ails you. This series is TNT fantasy 💙

*Note – Is it May 14th yet?

*Note – I can’t say that we readers weren’t warned about the cliffhanger situation – you know it’s coming, the last page is nigh, there it is… NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO. I am now convinced the authors have at least one major artery pumping a cool, cruel venom ☠

What I know about future release dates for Shadowspell Academy – May 14 and June 11, 2019, are supposed to give us The Culling Trials Books 2 & 3 (myyyy precious…). Thank you all for stopping in!
